The Climate Clock Project...

Artists Gan Golan and Andrew Boyd Release The New York Climate Clock Project...

The climate clock is a project that recently replaced the daily time clock on the side of the Metronome building in Union square Manhattan....
The clock denotes the years, days, hours, minutes and seconds until our climate change deadline.

7 years & 100 days is what we have left....

The clock displays the amount of time we have until global warming is likely to increase by 1.5°C if it continues to rise at the current rate. This level of warming is projected to result in increased damage to many ecosystems and cause an estimated $54 trillion in damage.

IT'S NOT ALL DOOM AND GLOOM...

The project also tracks the growing percentage of the world’s energy supplied from renewable sources. The theory is that renewable energy needs to be at 100% before the clock time runs out.
The concept is extremely frightening but the awareness created by this project was incredible. To see those numbers ticking away daily made the issue tangible and real.
The message behind this project means nothing if we do nothing. Small little changes daily to reduce your ecological impact is how we increase that number on the clock ⏰
